IX. Benefits

Economically, the Red Sea provides several benefits. For example,  the Red Sea's coast allows for the development of fisheries, which have provided food and employment to those who live in the surrounding areas. Also, people benefit from the tourism that the Red Sea attracts. [1] In addition the following mineral resources are found in the region: petroleum deposits, evaporate deposits, sulfur, phosphates, and heavy-metal deposits. [2]
